Zhongshan Road

Sitting in the southwest of Xiamen, Zhongshan Road is a road running from east to west under the jurisdiction of Zhonghua sub-district of Siming district. Along the street are arcade architectures in South Fujian style. Zhongshan Road is the cradle of commerce of Xiamen, which is now still one of the prosperous commercial streets in Xiamen. Zhongshan Road was built in 1925 as one of the "seven horizontals" of "four verticals and seven horizontals" of Xiamen's street and road network. Since it was opened, it has always been the commercial leader and economic center of Xiamen. It's a well-preserved old block that exhibits the modern history of Xiamen, with cultural relics such as Xiaozouma Road, former residence of Chen Huacheng and The First Church of China.

Zhongshan Road is currently the only commercial street leading to the sea in China, which has a unique style developed from its Nanyang arcade buildings, LED night view of flowing light and color, all kinds of special snacks of Fujian and Taiwan and ancient Nanyin music echoing in lanes. Zhongshan Road has three provincial level cultural relic protection units, five municipal cultural relic protection units, one municipal cultural relic involving Taiwan issue, a dozen of historical sites and remains, and also intangible cultural heritages such as Nanyin music. Zhongshan commercial circle is one of the ones with the highest commercial values in Xiamen and even the whole South Fujian golden triangle. Other than its inherent location advantage, it has also unique cultural deposits and shows the inclusive and enterprising style of commerce of Xiamen. Zhongshan Road is the only national level "No Counterfeit Products" demonstrative street across Xiamen and is honored as d The First Church of China.one of the ten most famous streets of China, which is settled by large famous enterprises such as Hualian, Laiya, Paris Spring, Nanzhong Dadi, Minghui Square and Tiger City.
